I have a match in my club championship tomorrow(see the Club Championship thread) and i wanted to make a "yardage book of the greens"(distance from front to back, to sides, to common pin positions) if that makes any sense. BTW i have Google Earth and a Upro(if ur wondering why im not jst getting it from there on the course i want a pre charted grid for all distances so i dont have to take extra time or if the Upro is not alowed in the tourney. Thanks any answers are very much appreciated.

You didn't ask any questions. So enjoy making the grid, and good luck in the championship

This is what I've in yardage books that I either modified or created. I have an outline of the green, possible indicating where bunkers are, and divide it into 4 sections. my fairway yardage is to the center, green distances are from center to edges in feet. I will also indiacte any large slopes or run-off areas. I will also make some note where not to hit the ball, or where I can use a slope for position. Most of the books I have, I have also walked off alot of the distances, so I know the fairway distance to the front and back, as well as the center. I have a shoe box full of yardage books, its labled as my box of manual GPS crap. I really need to get a sky caddie.

This is more or less what i do. Matter of fact, ill probably be doing it this weekend in preperation for my state publinx qaulifing round in a few weeks. I dont get too technical, but i do use a range finder to measure front to back, and side to side. I also make notes of any slope or levels, and the which way the greens break. If there is a big tree or lake nearby the green, ill make a note of it. because that green will probably break torwards it.

I will also take the ranger finder and measure off 150, 125, 100, 75, & 50. The scoring zones. Also, ill measure around 25 and 50 yards around each green if i can.

    • Day 4, 1/2/26.  Played 18 today;  didn't get a chance to warm up (had I known the range was closed, I'd have hit balls at home first).  Played okay, 92 with three balls in the water.  It was raining for more than half the round and I didn't quite appreciate before today just how much I benefit from roll on both drives and approach shots.  I did not adapt well to this change until about hole 15, which is something I have to figure out.
    • Day 143 1-2 Arch wrist in downswing. Having a SLIGHT cup in the lead wrist at the top now. Only paused swings with some rehearsals before swinging at ball.  Used foam ball.
    • Day 459 - 2026-01-02 Had two guys on GEARS Hybrid, so I hopped on afterward (I'm going to do this a lot more often now). So… I've signed myself up for another month of backswing work in two ways: A little more extension of the trail elbow (got into the upper 90s) Less pelvis turn (low 50s).
    • Day 31 (2 Jan 26) - Usual Friday men’s group shootout - good day of shot making  as most shots were right on line to the target point.  Putter and green reads were solid with some great par saves and a really tricky birdie.
    • Day 13 - 2026-01-02 One hour short game work. Chipping balls to different targets, compass putting drill with 2-3% slope.
