1. Using two gloves in rotation - switching it up each round

2. Using two gloves - switching it up after the first one completely wears out...

??

Seems like they would last you the same amount of time...but what are the advantages of keeping a good rotation...

a rotation is good if your hand sweats. This way you can switch every 6 holes, or every 9 holes etc. Depending on how many golves you have. I am going to starat doing this, because sometimes the club becomes hard to grip on the back 9.

It was 97 degrees and high humidity on Wednesday's round....I rotated 3 gloves during the round.

Welcome to golf in the South.

I think under regular conditions you are still better off to rotate them, too.

I wouldn't imagine rotating every round would do much difference unless you are playing back to back rounds. Now, rotating every few holes to give the glove a chance to dry out in that time seems like it would help and I would bet you do get better life out of a pair using them that way.

I have two exact same gloves in my bag and they get rotated randomly since I just pull one whenever I play or practice. I think they are lasting longer but might just be a placebo thing.

I rotate three per round on the humid days and only use them for full shots. I also take them off after every shot I use one. I wish my hands didn't sweat so much but a dry glove is very important to me

Like opie, I use three gloves and rotate them each hole. The all wear and tear ends up being about the same for all of them. I get three at the beginning of the year and they last me all year. Although I don't play as much as some, maybe 15-20 rounds per year. I never, ever, use the good gloves on the range. I save the gloves from the prior year and use them on the range.

To answer your original question, I would say rotating the gloves will last longer. If you were to rotate them every hole or two they would last even longer.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I take the glove off between shots too......and don't wear one at all for chipping or putting, and I still rotate 2 throughout the course of a summer round down here.
