Virtual U.S. Open

I don't know how many of you guys have actually played this thing, but I hate it. I would have a much better chance of posting a good score if I could actually play the course myself. I wish this little virtual dude could drive the ball more than 200 yards on average.

I haven't been this frustrated with golf since I was trying to break 90 for the first time.

But dammit if I don't keep playing...

If I hit the ball like this guy and had to play courses like this I might give up golf.

I get excited when I'm on the green putting for par... and 2 putting from 15 feet is a victory.

I'm pretty sure there is a system to actually getting "good" at that. Like the Virtual U.S. Open is just one part of a big virtual golf community, and the more you play if you are in the "league," the better you get, etc. Because I know you can either earn or buy points that either give you better clubs or better skills or longer distance, or whatever the case may be.

I'd bet that the people shooting in the 60's are people that spend way too much time and/or money on an online golf career. That's my assumption anyway. I'll take comfort in knowing that I'll shoot 98 in virtual golf and they'd probably struggle to break 100 in real golf.

I think it cheats. Plus the 235 yard drives and perfect wedges that don't go anywhere near where you aim doesn't help either.
