The next clubs I'm going to place in my bag are going to be a 3W, SW and LW

First:

I'm very uncomfortable with fairway woods. I have the urge to avoid using them, even if it means picking up an additional stroke to get near the green. Part of this is because the ones I'm using now (very old borrowed woods) are very uncomfortable at address.

Today I was in a local golf shop and was checking out how comfortable I feel with various woods at address. The most comfortable seemed to be the Dynmo Squared. The width of the face feels a bit larger in size than most fairway woods and seems to sit a bit taller, too. This definitely improves comfortability with me (the Mizuno MX 700 was kind of comfortable, too).

What is everyone's opinion on this club? Does anyone here use it?

Second:

I'm very excited to get a new SW and a LW in my bag. I'm very comfortable hitting my current ancient Spalding SW between 60 and 30 yards. Not so much in close. I'm kind of at a loss for where to go from here. There are so many choices that seem like good ones (shouldnt that make it easier? :P). Right now I'm interested in going with 56 and 60 (or maybe 62) degree Titleists. I'm not sure what models are considered to be better.

Any recommendations? Feel free to include other manufacturers such as Cleveland and Mizuno...

Thanks for the help!

Yep. I'm gaming the Nike Dymo 3W. I'm not using the square version though. I find the Dymo 3W very easy to hit off the deck, and off the tee, it's pretty much amazing. Usually when I hit it off the deck, my swing is way shorter than what it is off the tee, and I'm not swinging as hard. The funny thing is, it still gets up and the air and goes a long way. Make good, solid contact with this thing, and watch it fly. I'm actually saving a few $ to get the 5W to match. I've considered going with the square version when I make that purchase.

My dad hit my 3W on the range, and he was sold on it pretty quickly. He ended up picking one up this past weekend.

I also hit the Ping G10 at a demo day recently, and really liked it. Maybe check that one out as well.

^^Someone loves Nike. lol My favorite brand as well. However on the subject I know someone who has the Dymo 3 wood and I really enjoy the way it hits off the deck.

Lol, yeah, I guess I cant really deny it! I think it's something that carried over from my baseball, football, and basketball days. I can honestly say, I probably would have favored them even without TW being their poster boy. Either way, I like to give them credit where it's due, since some like to slam them from time to time! That's not to discount other manufacturers though. I've hit products from most all of them, and they all have pretty nice equipment.

I love my Nike SV Tour wedge. I took a chance on it because last summer it went on sale for 90 dollars, and I needed a wedge badly at the time. Bought it, not knowing if I'd like. Turns out to probably be my favorite club. Sadly, I'll have to retire it in a month or so because it's getting so worn out since I play everyday and practice my short game so much.

Out of curiosity, what are you going to replace it with?

If you like the Clevelands, wait long enough so you can save the money and get what you really want. A good buddy of mine plays the Cleveland wedges and loves them. Since he's gotten them, he has quit making me offers for my Vokey

i have two Vokey's SM - 56 & 52
i love them and my wedge game is what saves my ass
this past weekend i par'd the 1st 5 holes and didnt hit one fairway or GIR..it was a mess

BUT...the Vokey's are also ready to be retired
faces are getting beat up and grooves getting worn
i too have been looking and you know what...the old Nike SV wedges are on sale at Golf Town for only $74 CDN BRAND NEW!!!
at address they look IDENTICAL to the Vokeys....IDENDTICAL!!!

although the new VR Forged look sweet, but are $130...hmm...cant decide either
the SV's would be cool, as those are my initials!! hahahaha!!!!!

Dicks has the VR's for cheaper than $130. I saw them there this past weekend for either $99 or $109, cant remember. Killer deal on the SV's though. Almost too good to pass up. And the SV's might give you the chance to mess with some unsuspecting people since those are your initials... "Yeah, I'm so good, Nike made a special edition wedge for me, and put my initials on it"

You know you're bound to get at least one person to say "Really??? That's awesome!" :)

SV Wedges - yeah they would be cool i think if i could convince someone, that would be hilarious...until they see me block one right into the bush! hahahah i may take a trip to GT tomorrow..just incase!! they only have them left in the satin finish..i wanted black....but i think they will be ok i may need to find one w a little less loft though as my PW is a 47* maybe would like a 50 and a 56 as i am hitting my irons about a club low

Sorry, didnt notice your location :) Yeah, it's $109 USD. I just looked them up at Dicks. I'd post the link, but I cant remember if that's allowed or not here. If it is, let me know and I'll edit this and post the link. The black satin looks pretty wicked, I like the looks of those!

I really like my TaylorMade RAC's I was really leary of buying them but I bought them cuz I got them cheap and was really really impressed the feel was better than my Clevland. Ive hit about every "top brand" wedge. Vokey's are nice but I cant spend that much on a wedge, Mizuno ofcourse feels great, but I cant hit them, I hit one with Low bounce and Hi (they didnt have a mid) and ugh, but they look really nice :)
