Iv been playing seriously for about a year now. Slowly improving and searching for my first 80's round. My personal best is 91, but usually average around 95. Few things have been clicking for me lately and I just felt like today was going to be a good day. I even bet my buddy I'd finish within 10 strokes of him.

Well I finished with a 91, which ties my best ever. Did win the bet (he shot 82). But here are the things that are cool to me.

1. first ever chip in!!! Was about 15 yards off the green on a par 3. Looked just perfect. Was really exciting for me. Not to mention the cart girl was sitting there waiting to take our order and had added pressure of someone watching.

2. shot 45 on the front. +9. Iv never been single digits on a side before. Dang triple bogey on #1 is still killing me. Wish I could do that one over.

3. here is the stat that is blowing me away!! Last week I went out and shot a 95. Had 5 penalties off the tee box which killed my score. BUT... I shot 32 putts, which was a personal best. Well, on Saturday I shot the 91, had only 2 penalties... BUT check this out... 28 putts!!!! Thats with a 3 putt on hole one too.

Im disappointed I still dont have that 89 yet, but I think its just around the corner. Still cannot get over 28 putts though.. thats amazing to me.
