That's what I have realized after almost a year of owning the X-14's, and trying out the X12, X16, X18, X20, X22, BB96, BB06 and BB08.

There is absolutely no difference between any of the above-mentioned irons. They all feel the same. They all even look the same except for very minor tweaks. The club faces on all the X series are almost identical to a point that you can't know which is which just from looking at the club face.

Which is a good thing for those who happen to like the irons, if it aint broke don't fix it. On the other hand if you're one waiting on something new, you're pretty limited within Callaway. If you don't like them, check out the X-Forged irons.

Not that I don't like them, I have the X14s and they're pretty good. I will be switching to Mizunos soon though. What I am talking about is that they don't really change anything with the new models. My $180 X14s are the same as the new $599 X22s.

I just think irons from the major manufacturers are so good nowadays, that the miniscule changes are hard to notice..

I agree completely. Subtle nuances are what I look for.

The massive top lines on Callaway irons puts me off. Putters, wedges and drivers are the things they do best.
