changing shaft on 2009 burner

I recently purchased a 2009 Taylor Made Burner after hitting a Titleist 983k for years (and not really having a good reason to change). With the new driver, I push and fade (right + right) too much, so today I changed the shaft to a pro force v2 stiff, thinking the extra length and the lightness of the Burner shaft was part of the problem. Did I make a mistake?

should have gone to get fitted before you just started throwing shafts at your clubhead

Goals: Correct slice on driver/long clubs(close!), work on consistent iron distance, practice aiming irons
