Same stance for all, or 2 stances?

I've seen videos/articles saying that you should hit every club the same, or that you should hit these clubs different than those...

I find that I hit woods better with a relaxed, lower stance, and Irons better with a taller more down approach. If I try to hit my irons (I only use #7 & 9) like my driver I tend to not get under them.

Many will say do what works for you... Which technique do you use, and do you think it would be better long-term to work on hitting my irons like my woods, or just keep doing what works now?
