The family is taking a vacation to Colorado at the end of the month. We were wanting to camp somewhere for a few days. Not anything spectacular, just a tent, cook your meals outside, live out of a cooler, that sort of thing. We will be traveling with kids of 14, 8, and 2 so some luxuries are needed. (restrooms, showers, not too far away from civilization)

We will be camping the first week of August, probably M-T-W nights. We are staying in the Denver area for a couple of nights then going to the Keystone/Breckenridge/Vail areas for a night or two. Our trip will be ending in the Pueblo area before heading home. We would like to stay somewhere around the I-70 corridor or south along U.S. 24. Probably no further west then the Glenwood Springs area, and not too far north of I-70 so we don't end up driving half the time.

Does anyone know of a good place to go? We are open to any suggestions, the internet can only tell us so much. Thanks for your help.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I wish I were able to offer up some sound advice regarding the great Rocky Mt. outdoors, but I’m not much of a wilderness person. In fact, I won’t even go into the woods for a bad tee shot.

Great golf out here though - bring the sticks.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
