Hey gang!

I am a new golfer in west central NC and just happened across the forum and thought I would see what's news.

I am 34 and began playing three months or so ago at my dad's urging. (I have heard rumors he wanted someone that he could beat regularly.) I have been quickly falling in love with the game and having a ball.

I am currently hitting my dad's last set of irons with putter, driver, and fairway metals added from my local used stores.

My other loves are motorcycling, ham radio, and shooting sports.

That pretty much covers me.

Y'all take care!

I appreciate the offer. As soon as I can balance my golf clubs on my motorcycle to get to Raleigh with them, you're on. I have to warn you though. My sense of humor is the best part of my golf game.

Open less than a week and already your home course! Did you get in early?

I played tuesday and shot a 40 on the front, but unfortunately sprained my ankle and did not finish the back. I'm an RGA hack. Maybe I'll catch you around some time. Welcome to NC! for the OP. adam

I'm in Cary but the best part of my game is finding balls in the woods. I can't really take credit for that though because I slice so many in the woods, that there's a 95% chance that any ball I find is mine.

Check out lastminutegolfer.com, I was able to play 18 holes at Lochmere for 22.00 bucks the other day. I don't ever see RGA on there, but they do have a few of our courses.

I just joined and live in the Charlotte area.

However, for those of you in Raleigh, I went to a wedding last weekend at Prestonwood. That course looks awesome...

Also, just joined the board and I'm in the Charlotte area also. Getting back into the game after a 11 year break and unfortunately it's like starting all over again for me :(

Well, I am in the Winston Salem/Greensboro area myself. Anybody else out my way?
