Originally from South Jersey myself :)

Welcome to the board and like the pic from Young Frankenstein. I looked for that the other day but all I could find was Blazing Saddles, which also works.

Yea, it was hard to even find that one. Where in South Jersey did u come from?

Millville, in Cumberland County. I still get up there to play golf once in a while. In fact, since I took up golf last summer I have played more in NJ than I have in Virginia. I'll be in the AC area this or next weekend to hopefully play McCullough's Emerald or Seaview Resort (where the LPGA plays the ShopRite Classic).

Nice! So far I've only played 5 times and the first time I didnt keep score

I've only played on publc and county courses in northern NJ except for the first two which were in MA and they were pretty nice.

Try to squeeze in Twisted Dunes while you there - IMHO much better than anything else down there (since Pine Hill went all private

)

I did a charity thing at Twisted Dunes last year (Captain's choice I think, or best ball. Can't remember the difference between the two) and had a great time. The course was in great shape and the brutal wind made it feel like a links course.

We usually go to McCullough's for the casino and/or ezlinks.com rates. Seaview looks nice on paper, and I thought that since the LPGA played there it would be nice. But maybe I will see if I can get my playing partner to find out if his high school buddy is still one of the Pros at Twisted Dunes so we can save a few bucks.

Any relatively inexpensive places in that area? I have been to Hamilton Trails, a so-so 9 hole course and Green Tree which is basically a dump, or at least it was when we went there last year which was after a big rain.

can't say anything about deals in the area - I live in north NJ, so when I'm driving 2+ hours I'm looking for a quality, not value Seaview is sweet, but if you think winds were tough at Dunes - ask Erik (our Editor in Chief) how did it feel to hit a 4i from 140yds and come up short (Seaview earlier this year)

It was a 5-iron, Rafi! From 130.

Normally 190, that day, into that wind on that exposed hole: 115 or so.
