I'm not new to golf but really haven't improved in the last year or so. I hit in the mid 90's and feel I'm crippling myself with my clubs. I bought the Adams A2OS irons last year (7-pw steel shaft -stiff & 3-6 graphite shaft) and love hitting the short irons but find my swing to inconsistent for the graphite shafts. Basically I can't hit my 3, 4, 5, & 6 with consistency. The 3 & 4 are more like rescue clubs.
Do I need to suck it up and learn how to handle this set or should I get a set with all steel shafts & non-hybrid irons?
I've tried the Macgregors MT's and Callaway X's 3 & 5 irons and like how they hit - a lot more than the hybrids. Golf shop pro said I should not be hitting graphite shafts with my swing.

Any thoughts?
