My Best round I ever played....and how it could have been better

A friend and I went to a course that we rarely play, mostly because the greens arent all that good. It has a nice layout, but bad greens really bother me.

It was busy that day, so it was offered that we start on the back 9 instead of the front. We loaded up the cart and away we went.
First hole ( # 10 ) I score a birdie.....first ever!
From there thru the other 8 holes I made pars on all but 2 holes. Best game of my life.

We come around to hole #1 to start the second nine.....and there it is. A cat, not just any cat but a black cat about 15 feet away from the tee box by a bush. That's cool.
We're waiting for a group to tee off so I take my driver and do some stretching etc a little way back....turn around to go back to cart....and there he is.....sitting in my spot....Mr. Black Cat.

I still shot a 93 on the day which stands as my best round ever, but from black cat on nothing went right.

( For those of you who think it was all in my head, well of course the cat actually had nothing to do with it.......it was just rather ironic that he showed up at the beginning of my game falling apart )

That's really one of the biggest issues with all but the best amateur golfers, consistency . Good job on the 93, just think about all of the good shots you made, and how the ability to shoot much lower is there based on your intermittent good golf shots.

man i totally feel ya... this weekend i shot a cool 79 saturday (with a triple and a double!!!) and followed it up with a frickin' 94 on sunday. almost drowned myself in the pond on the 18th. cant say something like that hasnt happened before tho... just shows how big an issue consistency is for us weekend duffers.
