Totally Random Stat: Winners and Birthdays this week

Here's something interesting about the Evian Masters winner and one of the players in contention at the moment in Canada.

Ai Miyazato won the Evian Masters less than a day ago. We should (hopefully) know, tomorrow at this time, who has won this year's Canadian Open, a tournament in which Anthony Kim is currently in contention. If he wins, then this week's PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour winners will both share a birthday, down to the year. And I think that's a pretty cool coincidence.

This was one of my first thoughts when I heard that Ai Miyazato won. My first thought was "hey, glad she finally won. I'm surprised it took this long." My second thought was, "doesn't she share a birthday with AK? How's he doing this week? Wouldn't that be cool if the winners this week share a birthday?"

Does anyone know of a time when this happened before? I know it hasn't happened this week yet , but I'd be wondering this sort of thing. Maybe if I find time, I'll look into it, if records go that far...


(Loren Roberts and Rich Barcelo are also within a month of Ai and AK's birthday in any given year, but are a few years older)
