I was under the weather last week, so I was cruising the Netflix "play it now" videos for something to watch (actualy, watch and snooze at the same time) when I ran across a golf video call "Explosve Golf" that bragged it would teach you the "nuclear golf swing". I figured this might be good for a laugh (I was half hoping he would yell "pow" or "boom" when he hit the ball like the hammer guy does.)

Well, surprise, surprise. It turned out the be one of the BEST golf instructional videos I've seen. An excellent (and concise) breakdown of the modern golf swing, giving the how and why (at least as good as anyone can do in an hour.) It's an older video (the guy is using wooden woods), but the advice seems up to date.

Anyway, if you have Netflix, it's worth an hour of your time (and the price is right--free.)

That is if you're able to get past the cheesy instructor, with his still creased from not having washed it shirt, and his even goofier looking assistant.

Although I did like the info regarding letting your body generating the power and not thinking about your hands because they should just be along for the ride.

I've never really worried much one way or the other about a person's apperance/personality if they are getting the job done. We can't all be Cary Grant.

We all don't have to be Cary Grant, but you always have to be aware that details matter. Ever hear the phrase you only get one chance to make a first impression? It's enough to make or break you. If you can't take 2 minutes to iron a shirt that says a lot to me about your character.

That being said, I did enjoy the instructional video.

Does anyone recommend any other videos like this one? I hadn't thought of using Netflix/Blockbuster Online to rent golf DVDs, but BB at least has a lot of options.

pxc, there's great instruction videos on youtube, the first I can come up with is Clement Shaw, who has about 100 enthusiastic videos up and he answers like 50 questions a day.

And about outfits, Leadbetter looks rediculous is every single video of his, which actually does set me off.

Our local library has a number of Ledbetter videos, but I've never really felt like I've gotten much out of Ledbetter's stuff.
