Is that going to be a gamer?

You know, I'm thinking it will be my gamer. Maybe. I've got a beat up Studio Stainless that's in the bag right now.

And your mil-spec is REAL nice. Don't ya love it???

Nice looking putter. The one I sent in to be refinished is here: http://www.scottycameron.com/authent...gistry=A003685

The addiction begins: I just picked up an old Studio Design 1 off of eBay. It's got a little rusting on the Gun Blue finish, but everything else looks great. After the Newport Two comes back, I'll think about refinishing the SD1 with Pro Plat and using it as my gamer. I love the classic look... it reminds me of my old Titleist Bulls Eye Milled 3.25L, which I used for nearly 10 years.

Came home to a yellow box on the front porch. My Studio Design 1 actually beat my Newport II home! Didn't get this one authenticated, because I'll probably bust this one out as my gamer

(In case you care, "jojo" is my childhood nickname, and my family still calls me that)

Didn't get this one authenticated. Here are links:

Is the the PP finish on the SD1..looks sweet! I have a couple right now too..a Coronado and a Laguna Two. The Coronado I'm doing a full restore to original specs. The L2 I'm adding the merlot red paintfill with a CS stamp on the toe. I'll post pics when it arrives..hopefully sooner than later.

Yep, I got the Pro Plat done on the SD1. I had them do the paintfill to match the lettering on the SD headcover, black and red. I'm in love. It's my gamer.

    • I think a lot of the argument here stems from the whole "Jack had more all-time greats around him". You can view that in one of two ways. The first way is to recognize that it's much harder to win lots of majors when there are lots more people capable of winning them, so it makes perfect sense that the number of multiple major winners has dropped as the game has grown. The second way is to ignore that and just assume that more majors means better regardless of field strength.  I liken it to if you had two towns near each other. Both have one golf club. Each golf club has 4 big events a year and a bunch of smaller ones. Town A has 1000 people in it. 50 of them are golfers. One of them has won 18 of the big events and another 54 smaller ones over the past 20 years. One of them has won 9 big ones, one won 8 big ones and a few others won 7, 6, 5 etc. Town B has 100,000 people in it. 5,000 of them are golfers. You have to be of a certain standard to even play in the big events. One guy in this town has won 15 of the big events and 67 of the smaller ones. Beyond him, no one else has won more than 5 of the big events. Is the 18 winner in Town A better than the 15 winner in Town B? There's no way to be certain, but it's highly likely that the better player is in Town B (there is a 1%-ish chance that the best player is in the smaller town).  Also, Jack finished 2nd more than he finished 1st, so he must not have been a very good finisher. 🙂
    • Yeah this is exactly. Lots of par 5s in men's club type tourney rounds where I'm carrying the fairway bunker(s) on many par 5s that most of the field, even many those that I get strokes on, can't.
    • Yeah I’m sure 90% of the data will be interesting stuff from watching YouTube videos. I bet it’s cool to manipulate changes in real time. The only other thing I need to figure out is a good place for dinner in the area  one night
    • You don’t have to worry about this kind of stuff. @iacas is pretty good at what he does. You can look at stuff because it’s interesting but just focus on what you’re there to do. We’d all be better at golf if we knew what needed fixing in our swings 😉
    • Another factor that is often overlooked by Jack supporters. Equipment improvement made it more difficult for Tiger to separate himself and win.
