Anyone with any idea what he usually does for his practice rounds? Tickets are available (still available, I hope!) for $35 on Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm interested in following Tiger, among a few other names.

So...what day and what time does Tiger typically play his practice round? Is it early, early Tuesday or Wednesday morning??

Not sure how it is everywhere but when we went to the AT&T; this year the practice rounds were Tuesday; Wednesdays are typically the Pro-Ams. Tiger went out very early, 6:15 I believe. Good Luck...

Saw him play Monday @ Hazeltine. He starts very early in the day, I arrived at the course around 9AM and he was already making the turn. The gallery was disgustingly large for a practice round as well. Amazing to see his swing live though...

EDIT: I must've arrived earlier than 9, because I just confirmed with a buddy that Tigers tee time for the Monday practice round at Hazeltine was @ 6:45. I caught him from middle of hole 9 and on...

So...you think early Tuesday morning (like 6-7am) would be my best bet??

Yes, but I've read the gates don't open until 9 AM. So, getting in before that would seemingly be impossible.

I'm going to be there on Tuesday as well. I don't think I'll bother trying to track Tiger down. The crowds around him will be crazy. I will have more fun seeing guys that are still great players, but lesser crowds such as Phil, Sergio, etc.

Small change of plans...I'll be busy tomorrow, so I think I'm going on Wednesday instead and maybe on Sat or Sunday. Anyone knows what Tiger typically does on Wednesday? Early, early? On Wednesday I think it opens at 7am instead of 9, so that helps...

Also I believe kids under 12 are free. Just a heads up.

I doubt Tiger is a fan of Obama. Tiger has actually earned what he has and would not fit in Obama's constituent base.

actually, tiger came down to dallas last night and we played 18 at my home course. it's a safe bet he's going to win this weekend, cause i took about a grand from him, beat him by 3 strokes, and he's pretty pissed. won't even return my phone calls.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago.

      Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.

      Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.

      Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.

      The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.

      I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
