Hello All,
I'm in need a of lil Help as the title suggets, I've been playing Titleist Tour Model Irons since 1983, and I was convienced into purchasing a new set of TM RAC LT2's this season past. I honestly have to say I like the irons very much. But when I look into my bag and select a club for my next shot I dont quite feel it. Feels more like I've jumped ship, after all I've been swinging Titleist's for over 30 years. Dont get me wrong the RAC's are very nice and I like them,but I liked my Title's even more. As the years slowly past I dont have the game I've once had to swing a blade, so I've opted for something a little more forgiving.
I guess I should get to the point and ask the question.
What Titleist irons are best suited for me?
Average drive: 220/240
5 iron: 170
swing tempo: smooth and under control.
Handi: 10.5
Please Help.

hey there...

great question... this is really interesting because its almost like my own story... I haven't been playing quite as long as you (2.5 years) but my first set of irons were the original rac LT's and I recently just made the jump to the 735CM's... I really like these clubs especially because the transition between the cavity and muscle fits my eye... feel is wonderful...

I choose these irons over the 775's because they had a little to much offset which was distracting for me... I'd take a serious look at the 735... of course, take the time to get properly get fitted...

What Titleist irons are best suited for me?

Well, you could look at

Titleist's 2006 Iron Guide for help. It's appropriately named... Personally, the 735 is probably ideal for you as a 10 handicapper, but the 755 may be up your alley too. You just have to wait a few weeks for those. That is, if you have your heart set on Titleist irons, of course.

If the greens didn't come back as well for latest aerification, that would be a bit of a blunder on Shinnecock I think.

      Well, if your frame of reference spins twice during the swing, then Bryson's ab/adduction is more like 780 degrees so there! (Yes I'm being silly, but not sure it's any sillier than what your pal Andy is doing...)

      Update: Brandon Sorsby has decided to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft. He will not play for Texas Tech in the upcoming season.  From my perspective, I think he did the right thing. I hope he gets the correct help for his gambling addiction. I say the right thing, because I would be worried that the stress from all of this now and throughout the entire year would not be beneficial towards his mental health.  If an NFL team picks him up, then there really isn't any pressure for him to play immediately.
