I tried on some Reel fits today and was wondering about the sizes. I wear an 11 in shoes and my other golf shoes are 11 but the 11s were huge in the Reel fits today. Has anyone experienced this? If I buy these then I will need to get a 10. That is 2 sizes difference....does this sound right or should I go back and try them again?

I had to move down half a size from the GF:II. They fit a bit differently. Make sure you have a thumb or a bit less between the two sides over the tongue.

I have two pairs of reelfits. Did you tighten them when you tried them on? Remember, it needs to come together at the top of the shoe when you turn the crank. Not completely together of course but to the point where the two sides are parallel to each other (hope I'm making sense here).

Yeah, I got them tight. I walked around and would tighten them a little as I went, so they were tight. But the 11s had so much room after my toe to the end of the shoe. I don't want my foot sliding forward or anything. I am going back today and look at them again. I can get them a little cheaper on the internet but now I think I would rather just buy them local and spend the 20.00 extra. Not to mention that I would like to have them for a scramble this weekend.

Well, after going to the store and trying on different shoes, I decided to go with the FootJoy Superlites. IMO, they felt alot more comfortable than the Reelfits and I actually think they look much better too.

    • Day 159 1-19 Flow drill while attempting to add arch in wrist on downswing. Not where it needs to be but felt good working on swing flow.
    • Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.
    • That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.
    • Day 19, 1/19.  Finished work in time to spend 25 minutes hitting balls (hit 15) indoors, off a mat, into the net.  Usual focus.
    • Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
