Sorry if this is a long-trod topic, but the search function isn't helpful.

I'm looking at a Mizuno F60 3W for dirt cheap. Inasmuch as my 3W and I aren't speaking, does anyone have any personal experience with these?

i've used the F50 model 3W for quite some time (the model before F60, but i think they are very similar). it's a very nice club. nice feeling and sound. and pretty long too. too bad i'm not very consistent hitting it off the fairway (it's the golfer not the club).

Thanks. I just ordered one for 60 bucks. Probably going to be my tee shot club for a while until I get my driver under control. I could hit my noob set Slazenger Wrath 3w about 220, but the angle was horrible at best -- And with the K-mart uniflex shafts Slazenger seems to be fond of putting into their woods, I could never feel if I was going to slice or hook.

All the reviews I've read so far tell me this is going to be a significant upgrade.

i use the F-50 4w
love this thing to death

i can hit it off the deck better than off the T
it really likes to get the ball up and moving
also rock the steel shaft in er, feels so pure when u smash it

So, my F60 finally arrived and I got a few whacks at it today at the range.

I was a bit iffy at first, as the head is much more compact than my former 3w... and it's significantly heavier.

And then I hit it and it became my friend.

I was targeting the 200 yard markers and pretty consistently (obviously relative to my newb status) both off the tee and from the ground. Love the sound and feel of this club. Certainly takes away that 'Oh, I'm hosed' feeling I would get when breaking out the Slazenger 3w. I'm confident I can take this thing out on the fairway or the tee box and put it somewhere close to where I'm planning to put it.

Steal at 60 bucks new.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
