Ive noticed in my Driver grip that if i wrap my right hand thumb around the grip to where the inside of my thumb is rubbing the left side of the grip it is much easier for me to hit a right to left draw. (im right handed). The more i straighten out my right thumb to the grip the more it goes straight or to a fade. Anyone else ever had this work for them? I notice it today at the range while messing with my grip, and it didnt happen once it was repetative.

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

I never grip with the right thumb down the shaft. If I had it straight down the shaft seems like it would make me want to steer it more with the right instead of hitting through the shot.

You don't put much to any pressure on your thumb anyways, at least thats what is recommended.

You probably have the club more in your right hand when you do that, causing the draw...

A lot of right handed can give you added power, but can lead to many accuarcy inconsistencies so it generally isn't recommended.

But I also have my right hand thumb lightly on the left side of the grip.

When you have the right thumb on the inside, the right hand is a little "stronger", so you tend to have a stronger release which brings the clubhead around a little faster leading to a draw. When it's down the middle, the right hand is a little weaker, so the club head squares up or ends up slightly open. I have my right thumb on the left side of the grip and I try to keep the Vs of my hands pointing towards my right shoulder. My previous driver I actually wore down the grip to the shaft. I don't think that's advised. I know I grip the club too hard.
How I cradle the club with my middle and ring finger with right hand plays a roll in my result as well.

Its funny how in Golf the most minuscule change can do such drastic things. A 1/4 inch movement can change the result of a 270 yard drive down the middle to a 240 yard slice in the trees. I have always used my stance to change the direction of my ball flight, but have noticed that i have more control over it with my grip. I am going to put this new method to the test when Hurricane Danny gets out of here. Damn rain
