S57's - what do they look like with wear and tear?

Hey all..
I really like these irons - the look awesome at address, the feel great, and i find them not too difficult to hit.

I'm interested to see what the irons look like after some heavy use. Do the faces brown? Do you get the bag chatter than you see in mizuno, titleist, and similar forged clubs? (these clubs are cast, correct?)

I'm not in real need of irons right now, it's just something i'm curious about. I feel like these irons could last a long time and may be my next purchase as far as irons go.

Hey all..

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they'll behave similar to the old Titleist DCI's or my old 704CB's. Even though they're a bit softer, they should hold up pretty well. I personally don't mind the chatter. Gives it a more vintage, personal look.

Hey all..

The S57's are cast iron clubs not forged. I play the S59's, and I LOVE THEM. Since cast clubs are made from a harder grade metal, they don't ding or dent as easily as forged. They should last fora very long time. Ping eye 2's are still played a lot and they are 20+ years old.

I have test hit the S57 model, and the clubs have a soft, non-shiny "satin" finish. This should keep them looking nice longer, as scratches on chrome make other clubs look older. Plus, from a functional standpoint, satin finish eliminates glare on sunny days.

Hey all..

I've gamed the S57's for the 2009 season and have about 50 rounds with them so far (as well as driving range sessions). Like some of the posters have said, they are cast and so they are much more durable compared to forged irons. The only thing that I would mention that wears a bit would be the milled faces, which is not so much a bad thing b/c I used to get some ridiculous backspin on my short irons in the beginning.
