New shaft and SS checked today.

Went to a local club fitter today to discuss a new shaft for my burner. Great guy that works out of a little shop next to his house and boarding kennel. Yes it's country around here. Anyway while I was there I had my swing speed checked for the first time. Driver only. I was a consistant 100-102. I've been told that I have an aggressive swing and could benifit with a heavier shaft. The fella wanted to do a full club fit for me, but I'm $$ poor so that was a no go. He did agree that I had a nice but aggressive swing and recommended a GD YS6+ stiff shaft. I did try one in an Intergra head, I think it was, and loved the feel. To make a long story shorter.... I pick up my YS6 shafted Burner next Tuesday.

After watching my swing and talking with me that was his suggestion so I went with it. He was a Fujikuri dealer so it was nice that he didn't just grab one from his rack to sell. Seemed like a real knowledgable guy.

So true......had a guy in Dicks heard me gripe about ballooning my driver with the V2 HL stiff shaft.....he said he had just the shaft I needed.....went and looked but only had it in extra stiff but said that it

should work out just fine for me and asked if I had my driver in the car so he could install it. Cuzz wanted me to go with a much heavier shaft with a totally different kick point.....and....go from stiff to extra stiff..........without even trying one first. He wanted to charge me a measely $200 for the deal, too. I checked around in town to see what that shaft would run me installed....between $100-$125 everywhere else. Dicks......no thanks....not unless it's an emergency. Hell...they struggle even changing out grips....don't believe me....go watch 'em sometime if you are stranded at the mall while your wife shops.....don't know which is more boring. Back to the OP after my rant. Good news on you fitting. I'm gaming a 3 wood very simular to your driver.....and I've demoed that same driver. Even the stiff versions are fairly light affairs. I sort of like it in my 3 wood but wanted more stick in the driver. I think you are going to have a hot head and solid shaft to work with now. Good luck.....it's gonna be murder waiting....but it sounds like you found a good guy to work with.

i LOVE Grpahite Design shafts
i had the YS-6 in my 905 and it was awesome
I needed to upgrade to a stiff though, so i went w the 907 and the GD Aura Red Shaft
i think the weight, torque and kickpoint are all spot on for my swing
