Face lift for the old irons

Well my dad brought out out is old wilson staff blades the other day. These babies are so sick but lets just say 45 yeard ago they looked a little better. We both decided we would like to refinish these and give a few swings just for the heck of things. I just bought some medalist velvet grips that will be going on since the old grips and practically falling off where they are cracked. I will clean these babies up and redo the paint on them to give them a fresh look. Thought id share cus I am kinda excited about doing this. Might even refinish the older Hogen Apex Edges that we have just sitting around if these turn out good.

try buffing the faces/soles of them to get their original shine back....i play wilson staff blades right now and they are some sweet looking clubs. please update with pics as you progress!

Ill post up some pics for yall tonight. Last night I tackled the 2iron and 6iron. I first cleaned em to get all the old dust and build up off of them and they were clearly dirty. I then took some aluminum polish to them and tried to clean up the face and shafts. Keep in mind my dad got these Wilson Staff Dynapower Blades back in 1966 and played with them until 1992, there was a 15 year break when he didnt play, so these irons have some good use in them. Anyway, Ill post up some pictures tonight.
