Ok. I have an old set of irons 3-pw. Theyre ok. I cant replace those until I get fitted and thats going to be over $500. I want to spend $100-$200 tomorrow and I dont know if I want to go with an odyssey putter or a set of wedges..
I have a PW and a SW. No other wedges. And Theyre kinda old, but so far so good. No real problems with them. But I would like a fresh new set. So I was thinking I can keep the PW and get a gap wedge and new sand wedge.
My putter is ok and my putting is ok too but I really like the odyssey 2 ball blade.. Im not sure what to do. I dont NEED either, but there's no doubt I could get an improvement in each with a little $$$.
What I really NEED is a 3 and 5 wood and a set of irons.. Maybe I should spend the $100-$200 on a fitting???
The fitting I could hide from the old lady and wont have to hear any isht. hahaha. Maybe a fitting and a lesson? Lessons sure are cheap now.
There is an INCEDIBLE used golf store here with a ridiculous selection of very near new stuff all the way to stuff 5-10 years old. Most of it is in excellent shape. I mean its a HUGE store with just used clubs. Some still in the plastic and just were overstocked I guess. Im going to go there. I should be able to find anything I want. I mean they had over 50 odyssey putters.

If it was me I would get new irons. Irons are something you will always used and they will last a long time. Imagine having your 8, 8 and PW all set to your exact specs since those are what most people score with along with a GW and SW.

Irons = good idea.

But between putter and wedges. The first thing I bought when building my new set was a PUTTER!

This is probably the most important club in the bag...the most used...and the one that will have the biggest impact on your score...get something that gives you confidence and helps you sink those putts...watch your score drop!

...then get wedges or a set of irons...

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
