Well let's just start this out... Front nine, driver was not too bad, irons were okay. Shot +11 on the front... could not even play boogey golf... (just a little over a year of playing golf)

Then something crazy happen...

I decided to play my ball position on the back 9 more in the middle and leave my club about 1 to 1.5 inches away from the ball so I can hold my release longer...
Bang!!!
Shot the best 9 ever!!! 1 over, got all my ups and down besides 1 hole and 3 putted once. Also got a Birdie.

That feeling was great shooting 11 in the front and 1 in the back
for a score of 84... I should of broke 80 but my front dragged me down... but I kept my chin up and it was a great back nine...

I have been fighting a nasty snap hook with my woods this weekend - managed to dink and dunk my way to a 75 Saturday using nothing more than a 2-iron off the tee on the last 12 holes. Yesterday, went out to a much more difficult course with friends, no betting, etc, and managed to start 9-over through 7 holes. Luckily, the beer girl showed up after 7 green. Proceeded to purchase 8 Bud Lights and knock them back through the next 9 holes, got schnockered and shot 1-over through those holes. Finished 16 through 18 4-over, with a lost ball/retee on 17, and holed out from a greenside bunker for par on 18 after snap-hooking my tee shot into a hazard. Nice little 86.

LOL I do this most rounds, but always feel good as you finsih better than you started

I shot 87 the other week (par 70) I scored as follows...

50 front 9 (36) so 14 over
37 back 9 (34) so 3 over

Half way round my mate said "your gonna need a good score back 9 just to break 90" he could not believe it when I came in 3 over on the back for 87

85 is my current low score and that was a 44 followed by a 41.

    • Day 47, June 22.  After work today, I spent 20 minutes in my indoor practice room, hitting about as many balls.  Slow, as slow as I could, 6-iron swings, same priority piece as the past month.
    • Day 291 6-22 full, faster swings, focusing on low point, missing towel. Recorded some face on and dtl. Practicing full speed changes is something I wasn't doing enough.
    • Day 2 (22 Jun 26) - used the clip the tee drill today - focused on picking the tee and then collecting the divot.  Hit a few hard foam balls later in the session.
    • Club of the week, my hybrid. Stripe show on every shot. This one was probably the best. About 240 to the green. The ball was on a severe upslope. I hit it just off the back of the green (like 1-ft.
    • That will sting for a long time. Had all the momentum in the world.  The on course heckling of WC a bit over the top. IMO, that may have even galvanized him. Kinda like RC. He may have picked up some sympathy too. So boo to the boos. I can't stand him (and it's not just the incidences) but I think when punishment outsizes the crime, the tide tend to turn. He has stuck to "I've earned the hatred" narrative. Smart kid.
