I've noticed over the past couple of years that it seems some pros really shine in the team events, Presidents cup, Ryder cup, JB for example, AK, Jim Furyk, Boo. I suppose it's just my imagination but this seems to be the case. What do you think?

Are you suggesting that Furyk only shines in team events? If you're suggesting some pros thrive on match play, I concur.

Yes, I think that is what I'm saying.

Yes, especially on the European side. Sergio and Montgomery, for the most part, have played to the highest of their potential during the Ryder Cup.

I just think there's something about a team format. The comraderie is really quite infectious. Personally I am very introverted and quite, especially on the golf course. I rarely strike up a conversation, and really enjoy golf because it is a individual sport. However, I have had the chance to play on a team event. The Northern CA and Southern CA golf associations put on what is called the North/South Cup every year. I made the team last year, and can't tell you how much fun I had. We had breakfast, and dinner together, played in foursomes that were mixed up with new players nicely and when a match was closed out the others would go watch the matches. Not only that, but to the point of the thread, I played pretty great. Went 2-0-1 in my matches.
