what would you recommend? im going to try some tomorrow. i want to stick with mizuno thats what i have been playing with forever and love their wedges just havn't tried any of the new ones.any thoughts

I too am in the market for new wedges, and for the life of me I am trying to stay away from Vokey and Cleveland, or other big name brands.

I want to try out some HiPPO, KGZ, MacGreggor, etc wedges.

Just because. I am a small business owner, and I try to give the underdogs a shot whenever I can. Of course I will buy the best wedge that I can afford though. One look at my bag and you will see all sorts of big name brands and that is because I tried everything that was available to me, and I found those products to be the best products for both my swing and my wallet. Trust me when I say I tried the smaller companies when buying this stuff.

I think the wedges are going to be my last hope to getting a smaller company's product into my bag. I have found all sorts of unpopular wedges that have grooves just as sharp as a Cleveland or Vokey, good feel, etc.

I'm quite enamoured with my HiPPO HWT 56* right now, forged club and super cheap. My only qualm is with the grip, but that can be replaced for tuppence.

Mizunos are nice but the groove technology isnt the best and they dont spin as much as do other wedges. They do have great feel though.
Vokey spin mills are considered to be the best but theres lots of great wedges on the market. I say go test hit a bunch of different ones and go with what works the best for you.

Just the finish. The clubhead shape and the grooves are the same. I personally prefer the chrome because its a more durable, more protective finish but some people prefer the oilcan and the black nickel because there is less glare, especially on open-faced flop shots.
