What is a reasonable price for some golf lessons.

My home course is very nice, home of the Louisville Cardinals and has hosted a few Big East Championships. That being said the lesson prices are quite high relatively speaking I would think.

What are about the going rates for lessons? Price/Hour I guess is how they are judged, or price/lesson depending upon how long the lesson is..

Around here (Raleigh, NC) I would say $50-$70/hour is the average for a decent instructor. You can probably go out to driving ranges and find less than reputable instructors for $45/hour.

If you want a good instructor from a good golf school, it's more like $100-$125/hour.

I currently take lessons weeky and I pay about $35/half hour, and there's a deal where you pay for 5 and get the 6th one free, but you pay as you go!

Package deals are the best bet IF the instructor is good. Anything in the range of $35-60 is not too bad.

I paid $100 recently for a 1.25 hour lesson that included about 20 minutes of video and comment.

I'm taking a set right now and it's $160 for four 1/2 hour lessons. First one was today and it went really well. I was concerned with the 1/2 hour time frame but it worked out great.

Full hour lessons here run from $80-$110 an hour. Multi-lesson packages give you better discounts.
