I have two 09 Spin Milled Vokeys. They feel very soft and are very playable. I can spin the heck out of them (i can back up shots from 20 yards by a foot playing with a Prov1x!!!!). I haven't been able to hit them out of the sand much but they're much better than my previous wedge. Unfortunately I'm a lefty so I can only buy them in the tour chrome finish. I would have gone for the black nickel because it looks awesome.
The CG12s should be cheaper than the Vokeys so if money is a problem I would opt for the Clevelands.

I have a 54 Vokey Spin Mill and a 60 Oil Can Vokey....I'm sure as hell thinking of changing though to the X Forged 52 and 58.

You guys all like the Vokeys more huh? I just need to get rid of the Spin Mill, one pure wedge shot and a ProV1x cover is toast. That thing just chews them to bits.

I have never played Cleveland wedges besides a few shots from my buddys bag, but I do have Vokey wedges and I wouldnt trade them for anything.

yeah i love vokeys, but i've only been golfing for 2 years, and my chipping and putting is absolutely atrocious right now so i'm gonna go with something cheaper for now.
Spin and such doesnt really matter if you miss the green haha.
I like newer clevelands and they're 50 bucks cheaper so ill go with those.
I just can't decide between CG14s, CG12s DSG black pearl or RTG+
the dsg black pearls look so nice but i would assume the finish wears off pretty fast

Talked to a Cleveland rep at a recent demo day for new CG15 series. He said the CG12 was designed with competitive players in mind, and the CG14 (with gold cushioning inset) was designed for more general market. He said CG14 became their best-selling wedge ever, popular with pros and middle handicappers alike.

I hit ball well with both CG12 and CG 14. I got a CG14 because the gold inset on back of clubhead seems to soften the impact on shots (cut down on tendon fatigue). If I get a regrip on my irons, I'll add Sensicore shaft inserts for the same reason. Anyway, test out both types, and see if you want them in your bag. Things to consider... * The CG12 and CG14 models have different bounce and loft combinations. CG12 line has a 60.04 LW which is popular with local players who face tight lies a lot. * If you are looking for a coordinated set of three wedges, one of the two CG lines might be better than the other. Availability of remaining clubs might tip your choice. * CG12 also has Dynamic Sole Grind (DSG) version, for people who like to roll open the face for finesse shots. DSG would give you wedges which similar to custom soles available for a higher price through Vokey. (New CG15 line has DSG versions also.)

I tested CG14s on both the short and shaggy mats indoors, with shot tracking on the launch monitor. CG14 had much tighter line and range clustering than with stock X20 AW - which the CG14 replaces.

CG14 doesn't offer the oilcan RTG+ finish, but it does have the Black Pearl version.

    • First, you have some great choices in there.  Event Horizon remains a birdie movie for me.  It still finds its way onto the October options as Halloween approaches.  It fits well. I continue to forget that Arrival, when being referenced, is not the Charlie Sheen movie I saw in middle school. Lastly, what rating are you giving HG2?  Was it a par?  Bogey?  I gather from your review it didn't earn a hole in one on a par-4.  (I have yet to decide how I'm prioritizing that on my movie queue, and if I should even bother, so I'm looking forward to reviews here)
    • I loved Arrival. Annihilation is a good one. Event Horizon is also one of my classic sci-fi favorites. And now for something completely different: Happy Gilmore 2. I watched HG1 as an adult, and it was alright, but probably would have been better if I watched it as a kid. HG2 had some good parts, but overall I wasn't a big fan. I knew there would be pros in the movie, but I imagined some cameos, not them being straight up actors through large parts of the movie. They're not actors and it showed. I could've done with a lot less of them and John Daly was maybe the best of the pros. The Maxi part was boring.

    • Did I miss what your handicap was or how long you’ve been playing?  That Garmin chart is pretty useless.  Is the max number one of the numbers used to compute the average?  Without the chart don’t know how far you hit your clubs?  What do you hit from 150, ,160 etc…. Not looking at max and figuring the other numbers will probably have 10 yards of roll built in. It seems your launch and peak height are low.  I’d probably go Driver/5 wood/7 wood/ 5 iron
