new grips

There again I agree as I play used balls as well, but how many out there do spend the big $$ so we can play their lost balls? Theres nothing wrong with giving up a little pliability/softness in a grip for wear. That's all about and individual golfers give/take regarding thta particular item. Everything about sports equipment is give/take, we just have to strike a balance we can live with as end users.
I've been paying $5 per club for the winns installed. At the current rate, I will be spending $35 or so on grips for a year of play with them (after initial investment). To me grips are like tires on a racecar, they have to feel good and "grip". As long as they do that, what brand or kind doesn't matter (some guys like those rock hard ones, go figure?). It's about the satisfaction in a good comfortable swing and the end result that matters.

ya i dont think you guys are understanding what im saying.. the grips are amazing when i hit them. They just feel like a brand new grip and there are ROUGH edges on the little inset peices. As i use them they stop being so ridged, but the feel of the grip is nice. and its not a hurt as much as it is, i like to hit alot of golf balls when i get to the range *as its winter* and after a while they start to just tendorize your hand. im usualy fine till the next day my hands are rough holding the steering wheel, i can almost still feel the little inserts on my hands lol. My 7 is pretty good now cuz i hit a ton from that club. WEll, thanks for all your opinons, i think ima just do what shanks says and to keep using them..

Yeah, they make a "stingfree" version now too. Trust me though, Lamkins are a little different from the other grips out there, they last forever (well, for me that's a year) and they tear your hands,

but , you'll never have a stronger grip on the club. They feel like they're attatched to your hand.

ya the sting frees were 8$ a pop so 11 out the door or somethin. its not the sting from the club, but i think ima put some more time on them an update you guys. i couldnt bring myself to getting winn grips.. i dont want to tear up my hands, but the wins felt to.. soft on the clubs i tried, like i couldnt feel impact with the ball. i was jst seein if anyone had any tips but looks like braking them in is the way to go. thanks guys.
