I have a mate that's a pro that tours oceania and asia and he gave me some advice about putting and feel. Try practice putting with an even tempo with your eyes closed. It assists with elevating other senses other than your eyes with putting for feel and not so much with sight.

You can tell the difference on a solid putt verus an off center or contact that is low on the putter face by the sound and feel at impact. I have experiemented and found that I can consistently hit a solid putt by doing the following and you can see if it works for you also:

1) I try to keep the putter low on the backswing and sometime brushing the ground on the backstroke
2) I press down slightly just before I start my backswing

Once you hit a solid putt that you can feel and hear the difference you will want to duplicate this on every putt.
