Yea man the thing is perfect. Front, middle, back, layup points, and trouble distances. As well as shot distance for each shot. Its got a damn good price too.

I dont need color screens, flyovers, score keeping, etc....

I just want numbers, and this thing is perfect. There are so many gps's out there but this one has the right price and all the right distances.

Im done sounding like an infomercial now!

Remember I told you this thing is a birdie machine if your swing is working? How many birdie putts did I have Saturday? (even though I missed them all!) Its worth its weight in gold (and birdies)

Its 34.99 one time for 100 downloads. After you download them they are yours forever. So after a year, or 100 downloads, you dont need to pay anything else after that. You can keep what u d/l. I know I'll never need 100 downloads.

I think ive used like 8 so far.

4 more tonight because of my new job though!

Jim,

Just got off the phone with iGolf, the Neo GPs course provider. The $34.99 that you pay is for 1 year and they give you 100 credits. Once your year is up and if you dont wanna pay again you lose the credits that you dont use. Just an FYI

I played Lexington Oaks quite a while ago and don't remember much but I played Pebble Creek last year and even though it is not real long it can be tough especially if they have been letting the rough grow but with all the cold weather we have had I doubt the rough is very high??? Good luck and have fun!

Jim,

Yea I know about that too man, but are you really gonna play that many courses? How many do you play on a regular basis? Then just d/l like every course you "might" play before you die, and you'll be just fine! 100 courses is A LOT dude!

And after the year you dont have to pay again, you keep what you d/l! Jim

Thanks guys! I played today at our usual course Shalimar Creek in Lakeland. I played a new set of clone blades my friend assembled for me and struggled a bit, but I was expecting it. I'm off on tues, sat, sun. If anyone would like to play, let me know. I usually play with my fiancee's dad on sat or sun. I try to play on tuesdays. I sometimes play Cove Cay or East bay. I play in lakeland on the weekend since my fiancee lives there.

playing River Hills tomorrow....Excited about it

I was a member at River Hills for a year 2008-2009...it is a very nice course and is a drivers paradise...meaning it is rather easy off the tee but approach shots can be demanding depending where they have the flags and if it is like when I was there the greens can be very fast...have fun and you will enjoy the course just don't hit driver on #16...

    • Can't brag about a 50 last night but it was the best round of my season (4 rounds of 9 holes) so I am not as upset as I could be.  One thing I am noticed is that I got a little more confident in my long hybrids and I attempted a couple longer shots that typically I would just lay up and those holes were a big part of the lower score.  Not every shot was great but good enough that they helped.  I even shot par on a Par 5 after taking a drop.  On that hole I would usually lay-up to @ 100 yards and often miss the green altogether with my 3rd shot (or worse chunk my approach and put it in the waste area).  Yesterday I went for it from @ 200 yards out with wind in my face and landed in the waste area short of the green.  My drop left @ 40 yards in and I stuck it to 3 feet for my par putt.  If I had laid up I would have avoided the penalty stroke but likely would not have been on the green in regulation and may still have been working for par.  By going for it I gave myself a chance at birdie and still saved par. I do not plan on being crazy aggressive but I think I tend to be too conservative at times so I will "go for it" a little more often going forward.
    • Day 14 (15 May 24) - Worked with the SW in the backyard, short pitches from 10yds up to 30yds.   Focused on ball placement in stance - ball back, ball forward, ball center.  Afterwards moved to inside the shop to work on putting pace on the rug - putting one way gives about an 8' putt, going the other a 6' before bumping onto the adjacent rug.  Focused there on the line - picking a target point about 18"-24" out and making sure the ball rolls through that point.
    • When someone is trying to validate their choice, statements concluding with "right" are often the MO.  Too bad he thinks he has to keep defending his decision, just do like guys like DJ and HVIII - take the money, play the tourneys and keep quiet.
    • I liked Rory talking about keeping it shallow. I think a lot of people imagine steep as really steep. Trackman has a PW attack angle at 5 degrees. Pitch shots you probably want less than 5-degrees.  Here is 5 degrees, the dashed line. It isn't much at all.  People probably need to feel like the club is stupidly shallow if they hit it really steep.  Some good tidbits of information though.
    • Hey, many thanks in identifying those.
