I don't know what it is like to be an elite player or have the cordination to do so. The thing I believe about being able to play, you have to swing hard. I am not talkiing about the guy trying to break 100 or 90. Sure swing easy, keep the ball in play. But this is a different golfer than I want to be.

And shanks, I didn't watch the video but I know both of those players swing very hard when the compete. Els doesn't swing easy either. He goes after it hard just like every tour player. It is an illusion because his tempo is perfect. But to be able to play competitively, you better get used to swinging hard. When the pressure is on and your heart is pumping, you aren't going to swing easy. It is impossible. Watch every tour player with a driver particularly the ones that have a chance to win. They aren't going to hit the easy 6 iron. They know what pressure does and trying to swing easy with a heart rate of 150 isn't going to happen. They go after it hard and can control the ball that way. You just can't compete being a person that the only way you can control the ball is swinging easy. You might feel like you swing easy but the reality is you swing hard when the pressure is on.

I have recently gotten longer just by taking swing thoughts out of golf. I have one thought now and that is to hit it hard. I've lost a bit of control for now but learning to be more aggressive will serve me well. I am longer than I ever been and believe without this added length I couldn't compete with people I want to beat. I didn't start playing golf till i was an adult so I have to learn now.
