Its a game mode in the Tiger Woods video game. I thaught it would be fun to try this on the course with a friend. For those of you who dont know how its played its played match play style but when someone wins a hole they can take a club out of the others players bag or add a club back to your bag. The restictions are that you cannot take out the 5 iron, Sand Wedge, or Putter.

I will post again how it went when i get the chance because the weather is poor here in Ma.

Feel free to post stories if you have already done this or what you think of the format.

Me and a few buddies play this sometimes. The only club we dont allow taken out though is the putter and 5 iron. It is definitely a fun game and I have actually done quite well aproaching holes from a different point of view with my longer clubs out of the bag. It really does make for a good time.

My only problem with golf is that I am usually standing too close to the ball............ after I hit it.

Might give this one a go sometime if I can find someone game enough. I'd also like to give the 'bloodsome' format a try as long as it wouldn't hold things up for other people on the course.

me and my mate play this all the time but no clubs are off limits except the putter. it gets quite strategic as well when thinking about what hole is coming next to decide which club to take, it also allows me to get to now my mates game and my own a lot more as well

I play this game alot with my friends. Our rules are special, the putter is off limits a player always has a putter. We limit to 6 clubs: Driver, Fairway wood, Hybrid, 5 iron 7 iron and wedge (and putter obviously). Usually we are three players with comparable handicaps. If Player A wins a hole he takes a club from player B and player C. Any player must have at least one club (other than his putter), if said player loses a hole he is immune to losing clubs. A player can use any of the clubs in his bag, his clubs and the clubs he has taken from another player.

Here's were our game gets special, the bonuses:
Hole out from off the green (not including the fringe) and get all your clubs back.
Hit another players ball and take all but one of his clubs (balls on green are immune)
Ball out of bounds off the tee means loss of driver (for entire round, player who hits ball out of bounds may not play a driver for the rest of the round)

We tend to play this on a short nine hole, strategy is almost more important than how you play, some times you'll play a putter on the fairway in attempt to hit another players ball at the risk of losing a stroke.

I really like playing this game because you usually lose the big clubs quickly so you start practicing your irons and wedge play.

A quick story about one of the best time we played (at least for me). The first hole of the course we usually play is really tight with out of bounds right so we usually hit a hybrid, I won the Rock-Paper-Scissors so I went last. My friends choose not even to hit hybrids but to hit the 5 iron, after their shots they were maybe 5 yards apart in the middle of the fairway. I chose to follow them with the 5 iron and hit a perfect shot down the fairway, once it started to bounce we notice I had hit the ball in the back of the two already on the fairway. Once we reached the balls I had hit the one in the back and was two feet behind the other ball. A quick putt and I had all my buddies clubs, all they had were wedges. As you can imagine I won 18-0-0 luckiest 5 iron I've ever hit.

    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
    • I have access to far more data (including surveys and polls) than you do with your anecdotes. I mean this as plainly and literally as possible: you’ve demonstrated that you do not. They would, one way or the other.
    • Yes, but you don't live in the UK, so you have no idea what we think about it here. It's a very different mindset here, to demonstrate the fact you should consider 9 out of 10 games we play here are Stableford, whereas you you almost solely play medal. Neither is right or wrong, it's just different  I'm trying to avoid swearing here. Once again, and for the 1000th time, I understand the system, I just don't agree with it. Is there anything wrong with that? PS, I do not have the time or patience to post my results, especially as they prove nothing  That's because 99% of the posters are Yanks
