I'm currently uploading some of my swing videos.

my, down the line, swing video will be up later, I can't find my charger for my camera and it just died.

I am coming over the top just slightly, its a problem that I have been working on for a while. I bring the club back a little on the inside. There are a couple other flaws i'm working on.

let me know what you think, and sorry the video is dark, I had been out there all day and just decided to get my camera out last minute!!

thanks.

Club is a 7 iron.

really nice swing. you've got great angle retention. the only think i can think of, and it's very slight but it can lead to majorly bad shots. your right forefinger knuckle is not in a position to help your thumb support your club at the top of the backswing and at impact. this can cause you to lose it up top, or have to regrip which usually results in some kind of bad shot out to the right. also, it will cause the club to slip in your hand at impact potentially causing a thin shot right. other than that, you could lengthen your swing plane a bit by bringing your hands higher in the backswing and not so far behind you. but, you might be working on a one plane swing, i dunno.

p.s... are you a dukie? if so, looks like we might have a meeting in the sweet 16 in a couple weeks.

Early rotation - the clubhead probably gets well off the plane (and your hands too)... which is going to lead to timing issues.

thank you, I can feel that but I always thought my grip was correct. I'll definatly work on that tommorow.

So my hips are rotating early?? I think thats why I'm coming so far inside right off. So my shoulders should start in the rotation first and then my hips?? is this correct?

thanks for your input!

Your hands flip the clubhead behind you. You shouldn't rotate your hands so much at the start - they go out and the clubhead goes behind you from the DTL view.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
