Since becoming serious about this silly game last year I've been without a driver. I had a 13 yo regular flex Wilson made out of steel. I was all over the place with it, so I went without. I bought this from rock bottom for $57 with a stiff shaft. Fed-ex just delivered my new baby. I went out and had a few pokes just for fun. After overswinging the first two balls and slicing them into oblivion I settled down and she started rocketing them straight and out of sight...and the sound...ahhh heaven!!

I know this is a useless thread, but I'm pumped to get back on the course with a driver.

Great purchase in my opinion--see my other posts! Best club i've ever bought. Love the look, feel, sound, and most importantly results (ok, i do hate the headcover...). Get yourself some other shafts and wrench on ebay, or perhaps even a 2nd head with a different loft (and different shaft) from Rockbottom, and voila, you have your own custom fitting van for less than $200.

I think interchangeable shafts at a $400 price point was a dismal failure -- people willing to pay that price for new clubs are also the ones willing/able to pay for demo days, launch monitors, and custom-ordered latest model clubs -- they never needed interchangeable shaft technology. But at $57, the Evolver now brings "home" club fitting to the common man! (at least before they disappear over the next few years)

Just ordered the 9* Draw spec myself...can't wait for it to get here. Had bought an R7 draw but it was deliverd with a cracked shaft so I sent it back. For 57$ you can't go wrong. If I don't like it someone will buy it for a deal like that. Mine has the UST V2 reg shaft. May end up putting a stiff in it. I already have a VS proto By You 60 I got cheap to put in it if I need to.

Get ready for a shock if your wanting an adjustable CYG hosel. Ebay has one with one hour left and it is already 50$. They were 15$ a few months ago. There are also 3 nice shafts with CYG hosels thats at 91$, but has a lot of time left. I checked all over the net before buying my DX draw to see if the CYG hosels are avaliable and the only one I found was the one on ebay.

Ummm, yeah.....well the first 9 with the new driver didn't go all bad or great. I only hit 2 of 7 fairways, but 4 of the other 5 were only off by 3-10 yards. Mostly slight pulls and pushes with one giant banana slice on a par five where I tried to murder it which ended in the adjacent fairway. The two in the fairway went 247 and 245 with no roll. I definitely need more practice, and that's just what I did when I got home. I hit about 30 balls and discovered that in order not to push/pull or slice I have to make what feels like a severe in to out move. It probably doesn't look like it, but it feels bad. I have a natural inside out move anyway, but it feels extreme.

AT any rate I think this is a great club for $57!!
