Hello all. This is my first post. I have been playing Ping i3OS for 10-11 years. I am itching to get new clubs all through the bag. Handicap fluctuates between 7-9. Had pretty good iron play last year, but the wheels fell off my chipping last year. Was strange. Have never been a great ball striker with my 4 iron and am streaky with the 5.

My question is; how much forgiveness do I lose going to mp52's or AP2's? I have been told it likely wont be that much because of technology advances over the last decade. Thoughts? I have always loved the look of forged clubs, especially the mizuno's. Other suggestions?

Price is not a concern. I am not wealthy but considering the amount of money I spend on golf, I can justify it.

I play the 710 AP2s and find them to be quite forgiving. You will be able to tell whether you mishit a shot or not but they don't penalize you too much. I think a mishit on the toe/heel costs me about 10/15 yards with the 4 and 5 iron.
If you want to read more about these two irons there are some great reviews on the main site:

AP2 (old model but there isn't a great difference between these and the 710s) http://thesandtrap.com/clubs/titleis...2_irons_review

I play off an 18 right now and I just bought the MP-52 irons a couple of days ago....so far at the range, its been great for me and is everything the review said it was !

Tomorrow is the moment of truth where I try it out on the course ! And as anyone will tell you....Mizuno's make one hell of golf clubs ! Cheers Ray
