Hey everybody... I've finally gotten to the point where I convinced my wife to accompany me to the driving range. I wanted her to video a few swings for me so I could take a look at what everybody else was saying. I've always been told that I have a NICE swing... but nobody ever told me I had a PROPER swing or anything of the sort... so I wanted to see.

Truthfully... I find my swing to be kinda ugly. One thing I wanted to question though, for those of you who KNOW the swing (which I don't)... I noticed that my left (front) foot would turn TOWARDS the target at impact. I guess I've always done this, more to compensate for knee issues than anything... but I wondered if it's HURTING my game at all.

If anybody has some time to check them out and give me some feedback... I'd appreciate it. And... before anybody asks... those ARE my kids running around on the makeshift putting green behind me.

Thanks!

great hip turn. puts you in a good position to come in at the ball with a square clubface. grip looks a bit strange, though. that might contribute to whatever problems you're having. i'd look on youtube and find some diff. grips pros do and try them out. also, your stance isn't indicative of being properly lined up. you should find some piece of turf or leaf or something within a few feet of you that lines up to your target and line up to that.

My grip is something that I changed to a few years ago. I had a HORRIBLE time slicing the ball, especially with the driver. I turned my right hand over the top of the club and since then... the slice is VERY rare. It LOOKS uncomfortable... but, since I'm used to it... it doesn't bother me. I think I'm going to end up reworking my grip this season because I get a LOT of comments on how messed up my grip looks. Regardng my stance... typically, I'm line up very well. In this instance... the grass tees at this range kind of slope down... so I was aimed out right and pulling the ball at my target. If I aimed myself AT my target while at this range... I found myself catching the turf before I did the ball. I don't quite know why. Thanks for the input!

Look at the left foot... that ain't normal. ;)

Haha... right? I NEVER realized I did that before. Ever. Nobody has EVER pointed it out to me. I knew that, on my backswing, my foot raised... but I didn't know it was THAT much... and I had NO idea that my foot was actually TURNING towards my target at impact. It helps with my balance... and I THINK I'm probably doing it because of my knees... but I have NO idea when it started or how to STOP it without missing the ball when I swing.
