Just wondered if anyone has had an issue with the cavity inserts on the i15's?

My 9 + PW cavity insert plastic covers split (was hanging off the PW) and the foam inserts started to peel away from the cavity back insert position, they have gone back to Ping FOC to be replaced so was wondering if anyone had this issue?

Myself and the club pro recon it is because the inserts on the 9-PW do not sit flush in the cavity back due to the position/loft so have rubbed on the other clubs in my bag and split the plastic casing on the foam insert, resulting in it catching and peeling away....

I had G10's before these and did not have any issue with the cavity back inserts (maybe because the G10s were so deep in the back of the club?) but I do seem to remember some posts on the i10's suffering these coming off?

I have the i10s, and this hasn't happened to me. However, I have seen it on an i5 (7 iron IIRC). I'd assume PING will cover all costs, but it's a real bummer losing your clubs for some time.

In my Ogio Ozone Bag:

Yeah Ping will be covering all costs, bit of a bummer not having them for 2-3 weeks, but I have stuck my old John Daily Hippo 9 + PW in my bag to use for the time being :)

    • I'd compare the trade in value vs what similar ones have sold for recently, there's a pretty high chance you can sell it yourself for more than the trade in value plus you'd get to keep the shaft you like.
    • I’m going to do a trade in to get some money off the new driver
    • Since you're staying with the same brand why wouldn't you just swap your current shaft into the new head?  You could then take the old head and the "new" shaft and pair those up and sell that on like FB Marketplace or something.
    • Currently looking to upgrade my cobra speedzone driver which currently has the HZRDUS smoke yellow stiff shaft in it with 60g, 3.5 torque and low spin spec. I’ve found a good deal on both the cobra ltdx and Aerojet models but I’m unsure which of the following shafts are similar…. Mitsubishi kai’li blue HZRDUS smoke im10 Tensai av raw white Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
    • I'm exactly in the same train as you. Short putting is the worst of my game, is all about starting line and mine is pretty bad. I have really good lagging so speed is not the issue. Work at your home with your putt and try to hit a coin from 3,6,9 feet. Over and over again. If that is not the issue, then you probably are miss reading putts and you need to start giving them more break.  I also struggle with partial wedges, my scoring average from 50-75 is worst than 75-100 so I tend to lay up to the 100 mark if I don't reach the green.
