Just checking to see if anyone still plays these irons and if so have you compared them to say G10's?

I play the G10's ATM, but have always LOVED the look of the old Ping ISI "Coppers". I went into the Golf shop today and a guy had traded in a FULL set of them 1-9,PW, SW. They feel great in my hands and I'm so close to trading in my G10s for them

But I just wanted to check and see if anyone has any feedback on these irons. Like Feel, Forgiveness, distance and if you have compared them to G10's.

I have always heard that the "Copper" ones feel SOOOOO good but sadly I have not had the chance to hit them.

I know some will say the "NEWER" G10s are cool and hip but for me I LOVE the way the older Pings feel/look.

Thanks to everyone in advance

till this year I played the ISI-K's which were the same just diff of color. I still have them and game them until I get a feel for my Burners...personally...you can't go wrong. Amazing clubs...even today.

In my Titleist 2014 9.5" Staff bag:

Cobra Bio+ 9* Matrix White Tie X  - Taylormade SLDR 15* ATTAS 80X - Titleist 910H 19* ATTAS 100X - Taylormade '13 TP MC 4-PW PX 6.5 - Vokey TVD M 50* DG TI X100 - Vokey SM4 55 / Vokey SM5 60* DG TI S400 - Piretti Potenza II 365g

I guess the only thing you may find is a loss of distance with them but if they give you confidence then that will counteract that. I am in the process of playing my last few rounds with my Taylor Made Burner Tour irons from 1999, they got me from 12 to 3, then back up a bit!

From the top:

R9 TP Driver Stiff 9.5deg
R9 TP 4-Wood Stiff 17deg
X-Forged Prototype 3-9 Stiff (rifle flighted) 48deg, 52deg, 56deg, 60deg CG12 Wedges Newport Longneck TeI3 One Black

i played the isi-k versions for many many years (they're made from a different metal and are slightly larger than the becu versions)

they're not near as forgiving as your g-10's and they hurt like heck on miss-hits, but they're very good clubs overall... i honestly wouldnt recommend playing them over your g10's, but if you like em that much then go for it.

RBZ stage 2 driver & 3 wood

Original AP1 4-GW

Vokey 54.10 & 58.04

Scotty Newport 2
