Howdy all.
I've recently taken the game back up after a 15 year layoff due to an injury. (severely broken right leg)
I know I missed some prime years (and scores), but I still enjoy the game as much as ever.

I retired from business in 2007, sold the house and moved to the sunny SW. My wife of 28 years was a cancer patient at the time and our only child was off to Iraq, so it was a hard time. Our son is doing great in his military career, recently married, and my wife has been cancer free for 3 years now. Life is good!

I'm totally starting over with my golf game. Due to my leg injury, my swing is limited from what it was (and I use to have a really good swing!) I recently purchased new irons , Callaway X18's, and seem to be hitting them well. (read straight) My distance is lacking though. I have not yet purchased woods, as I'm restricting myself to par 3's for the time being.

I'm sure I'll be asking advice as I learn more about my own game now, which I accept as being totally different than 15 years ago. Basically, I'm a 53 year old rookie. LOL!! Glad to here, thanks for listening.

Hey welcome back and good luck to you and finding your distance again! Also happy to hear your wife is doing well.
