wicht loft fro the halo, the 16°?

Spend a little more time selecting a 3/5/hybrid than listening to one person on a forum.

You've told us nothing about your game, so even beginning to help you is not possible. The 503.H are some of the tougher-to-hit hybrids, I will say that.

I totally agree with the above. I reshafted and cut my 503.h down to be an exact replacement for the iron that it replaced ( think of it more like a Callaway BB long iron) and went with the 585.h hybrid to replace my 5 wood. I just have more control and accuracy with the hybrid. Another option that use to work great for me was I used a 17* 4 wood instead of a 3 and 5 wood. I always felt that a actual 3 wood was too valuable to replace with hybrid, need the extra distance on par 5's so went with the 3w and hybrid 19* combo. The new 585.h hybrid is a non offset style so if you slice, then look at other great hybrids by other manufacturers that will help your game.

I agree with Erik. If you are a high handicapper, you may wish to try some of the easier to hit hybrids such as the Callaway Heavenwood or the Cobra Baffler; that is, something other than the Titleist 503. Should you find something to your liking, you will likely be able to get it at a sale price. For example, I just picked up a new Cobra Baffler 20* ( just discontinued ) with graphite shaft, on eBay for $106, which includes shipping. It seems to me that hybrids, which are available in lofts similar to or the same as fairway woods, are easier to hit than fairway woods. Both Callaway and Cobra make a 3 wood equivalent hybrid. The best thing for you to do is demo both the 3 woods in which you have an interest and also some hybrids in similar lofts and shafts. Buy the one you hit the best most consistently. Good luck.

Why not both, I carry the Sonartec 5 (19) and MD 21. The five wood goes further but some days I can hit the hybrid straighter depending on my swing. The hybrids are great for punching out, chipping, tough lies, etc. so to me its not much duplication of club length even if the clubs are the same lofts.

I've tried the Heavenwood and G5 hybrids and just can't get comfortable with them, just seems weird having such a small, light head on a wood's shaft (I think the whole thing is just too light for me). I've got a 9.5* Fusion driver, 15* Fusion 3W, and a 19* mock Tight lies 5 wood which have worked really nice for me.

    • Congrats on the new leg of your journey - the challenge of learning something new while dealing with Parkinson’s is totally awesome.
    • Played several holes today with my Buddy's left haded clubs.  I was going to order just woods, but after playing again today and hitting the irons well, I will be ordering a complet set of Left handed Clubs.    They are Callaway Edge, Regular flex.  I am excited !  Will let you know after I try them and let you know how well they performed.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • Depends in part on what lie the greens crew left me. If it's first cut of rough or fairway and clear shot to cup, it's an 8i chip and run. If it's shaggy, or I have to go over ridge or bunker, it's a cut shot with a 58* LW.
    • Throw a stick down in almost every range session.
    • Day 358: Played 18. Incredible psycho scorecard but finished +5. Also completed the birdie challenge. And the no 6s challenge, for that matter. Was not my best ball striking or driving round, but was able to hit enough good shots to make a few birdies and scrape it around.
