Lets say my playing partner hits his shot onto the green and then my shot hits his ball.

What happens?
Do we just play on normally or does he get to replace his ball?

If you're both on the green, and you hit his ball, I think he gets 2 penalty. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You would play your ball as it lies and your playing partner would replace their ball back to where it was originally (best they could)...there is no penalty...I think this is Rule 18-5 and 19-5a...(I am not a rule offcial but I just recently read about this ruling)...

You are wrong.

If both balls are on the green, the player who hits someone else's ball with his own gets two penalties (Rule 19-5a). If the ball has been hit from outside the green no penalties are incurred. In both cases the ball at rest that has been hit by another ball has to be replaced (if it was moved as normally is the case) with no penalty (Rule 18-5).
