Thank all of you for replying.

Once again, I'll try and answer every question.
I can work the ball. yes. But I don't like to. When I do, I tend to fiddle around to much to test it, and I mess my swing up. And the infinite amount of configuration options on the R9 just aren't doing it for me. It's a great driver, just not for me. I looked at the MachSpeed. It looks offset to me. :P

And as for my miss. My miss is low. A low, ugly(not big, but ugly), draw.

I switched to a ping i15 recently and it seems like a pretty straitforward driver. Its branded as workable but i dont find it so, as of yet. I hit nice high fades with it. Your issue with wanting to eliminate workabillity though is ending up with a driver that has a closed face. Might not be too good for your hook. Maybe a neutral callway ft9 would be good, too.

I don't have to eliminate it completely. I just want a perfectly neutral face. The R9(At least mine anyway,) is a degree open even when neutral.

The best thing you can do is get fit. Get on a good LM and hit balls with different drivers.

As far as your TM's gadgetry causing you to want to work the ball - try some drivers that aren't adjustable. I15, FT9, and the Cobras are all good. I just purchased an i15 and it was definitely not the driver I thought Id be walking out with. I didn't think I would have enough game for that stick, but in the end it was by far the best one i hit - and that was after a 2 day fitting.

    • Day  3 (4 May 24) - Easy pitch day with 9i in the backyard.  Worked on staying smooth thru impact, keeping shots to 20yds or less.
    • From what I’ve read, it was in the manufacturing process and how the covers were nicking pretty easy.  He has had to resource his factory as the one used earlier is now a TM owned facility.  Initial reports seem to indicate the redesign is going to be a winner…
    • Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
