Had my first one a month ago while in Arizona cor a couple of days. Funny part is I was using rental clubs. Been playing 40 years, + handicap....it's just luck. My biggest fear was hitting a skull or off a rake, off a golf cart, tree etc..and then in the hole. This one was a sweet baby draw uphill some 175 yard 7 iron landed soft and rolled 3 feet into the cup. Next day I played somewhere else, another set of rentals and put one to 2 feet. I should just rent clubs from now on when I play.

Just one here. It was the final par 3 of the day, and I was the last in my group to tee off. One of the other guys in my group said, "Alright, Will, you're our last hope for a hole-in-one today." I took care of business!

I have one. I was 17 and just watched my buddy ace the 250 yard par 3 to beat me in skins a couple weeks before. I was playing with a young school teacher and his buddy, I was a single and paired up on the 2nd hole. We were playing from the tips when so when we got there, it was playing around 265.

It was known for its massive two-tier green and the pin tucked in the back left protected by a pretty large bunker with a hefty lip. I took out driver and out of all shapes, played a draw (I'm a lefty) which narrowly missed the bunker and slammed straight into the massive down slope that ran across the green. The ball took a couple hops and began to break towards the hole. It rolled another 10 feet before hitting the pin and dropped. No one really said anything... we all just looked at each other and said fairly confidently "Yeah, there's no way that went in... yup, no way." Sure enough when we got there the ball was in the cup and the celebration began.

I took the course record from my buddy and held it for a whopping 3 weeks before some big stick came in and aced the 7th, a 330 yard par 4 over water. I guess that summer was a good summer for aces on the local course.
