I have flattened my swing considerably, and wanted to take my driver back to Golfsmith and get on the launch monitor and see if I had a reason to change out shafts.

I went over to the used club rack to look at drivers and pulled another Ping Rapture V2 out with the Diamana 63g stiff shaft. I have the stock stiff shaft.

I forget the guys name, but I explained my situation and wanted to swing both clubs.

The bottom line, after about 4 swings with my driver, he looked at the numbers and said, there is no need to buy anything different (2400 rpm and 9.5 degree launch angle). He still let me try the other club. I spent 20 minutes of his time, and next time I need help, I will go looking for him.

I figure it's getting harder to find good customer service, so I wanted to put this out there.

I don't know your swing speed, but 9.5 degree launch angle seems too low.... Even the pros wants to get between 11-13 degrees.

BTW, Golfsmith store in my area got pretty bad staffs. I received one unprofessional conduct from them.

No warm up, 12 swings, avg was 107. High of 114, on this particular day. In the past, after warmup, avg has been 116 with a high if 124. The ball has a low flight, for sure. I can tee it up higher and acheive height if need be.

It may be a bit low, but I will leave it alone, until I become more consistent in my swing.
