This is swing video taken back in early May after one of our pleasant snow storms. I hope to get some more footage tomorrow so the two can be compared.

Feedback is most welcome. I am looking for a couple of simple things that I can work on to improve my accuracy. I tend to push the ball right with my driver but not all the time. Lately I have actually been hooking which has me baffled. I very rarely hook but it is showing up more often these past few rounds. I have always had lots of confidence in my driver but now I second guess it on the tee box.

it'd be a lot better if you were actually hitting a shot.

The problem is, I can look just like Ben Hogan when I swing as long as I'm not actually trying to hit a ball. That swing looks alright, a few problems, especially with your hands on the take a way and your flip, but is that a tru swing that you hit with, or you're practice/posing swing?

Also with a name like Bubba I expected a 5'3 350 guy wearing cutoff flannel and overalls. I was really disappointed.

We were waiting for the group in front of us to clear the fairway. My true swing isn't that much different, hopefully we will see that today once I get some more footage.

Look at the freeze frame at impact. I'd like to see more weight on your left foot, and a bit more sliding and clearing of the hips. Tour players have ~85% of their weight on the left foot at impact. Learning to bump your hips left to start your downswing will help generate lag and power, and improve your contact.

The other thing I noticed was your takeaway. You seem to be eager to hinge your wrists. Some play this way, but I'd work on keeping your left arm straight and your wrist cock a pick more neutral until position P2. Visualize an plane created by your shoulders and the ball, and extend your hands and clubhead away from the ball along this plane on your takeaway.

When I was fitted for my clubs the gentleman that was fitting me metioned that I set my wrists early and I should try working on keeping them set a little longer.
I will head to the range an start to experiment with some things.

Get your hands what Iacas calls "deeper" in the takeaway (i.e. butt of club is more in than clubhead). That should help fix the push.
