Went to a demo day. Tried every driver I could. Titleist 905, Ping Rapture, G5, Cally FT, X, SQ, HiBore....

The Cobra guy saw me hitting a 905 and grabbed me when I was through and put a H59 F 10 degree in my hands. I never seriously considered this, don't know why just never did.

That ball had carry like I've never seen before. I'm not a long hitter, 240-260 is about it for me including roll on a good strike. This thing carried that and then some, with a nice little draw to boot. Anyone have any experience with this club?

Thanks.

I'd actually consider one of those except I'm scared to death of the "draw bias" (read closed face) that the driver has. I need to hit the ball left like I need a hole in the head. I already have a natural draw to my shot, the last thing I need is a club to help me go further left. Why can't Cobra just make one with a square face?

I fight a pull too.

I looked down at the club tje rep gave me and said as much. He told me to ignore it and hit the ball, and not one went left. No one more surprised than I

I traded my Launcher Comp for a Cobra speed series. I just hit one for the heck of it at a demo day and started xeroxing shots right down the middle with about 5 yards of draw. I normally hit a draw so that didn't surprise me. I liked my Launcher, but I had control issues with big sweeping hooks. I bought the Cobra on the spot. I find that I'm straighter with the Cobra and also about 15 yards longer. As an added bonus it's more forgiving. I also got to play with shafts and heads a bit and ended up with driver with a M shaft and and F head. It really fits my tempo and I just love the feel. I was like you and hadn't seriously considered Cobra, but I think the driver is a great club especially for golfers like myself who aren't tremendously gifted.

Thanks Jeff. Truth be told I stole it though. There used to be a golfer on the pro tour whose nickname was xerox because he was so straight and consistent. But I'll tell you that having confidence in a club can really help your swing. That xerox image has a way of coming true nowW

    • Mostly pull cuts to slices. Some random pull draw/hooks pending of I hit the toe.
    • What's the rest of that story? Where was the ball going?
    • The criticisms are starting already 🤣 U.S. Open pro criticizes Shinnecock green conditions: 'Bumpy' After playing his first practice round at the 2026 U.S. Open, Michael Kim offered a less-than-glowing review of Shinnecock's "bumpy" greens.   The sand, I don't care about that. If the greens didn't come back as well for latest aerification, that would be a bit of a blunder on Shinnecock I think.
    • Well, if your frame of reference spins twice during the swing, then Bryson's ab/adduction is more like 780 degrees so there! (Yes I'm being silly, but not sure it's any sillier than what your pal Andy is doing...)
    • Update: Brandon Sorsby has decided to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft. He will not play for Texas Tech in the upcoming season.  From my perspective, I think he did the right thing. I hope he gets the correct help for his gambling addiction. I say the right thing, because I would be worried that the stress from all of this now and throughout the entire year would not be beneficial towards his mental health.  If an NFL team picks him up, then there really isn't any pressure for him to play immediately. He can work on himself and his game for the NFL.  From Texas Tech,  "Texas Tech will continue to provide the support and recovery resources Brendan requires on this journey. Furthermore, Texas Tech will not seek return of any amounts already paid to Brendan through his NIL agreements with the University," Campbell wrote. "We wish our best to Brendan, and we offer our prayers to him and his family as he chases his dreams at the next level. This has been an unbelievably painful experience for us all, but I know that his true, underlying character and lessons learned through this experience will ultimately bring him great success on the field of play and in life." Which, I also the right thing to do.
