Well new to me at least. I've been hitting a Great Big Bertha II for the last 8 years, and my instructor was pestering me to get something more forgiving and larger. I've just never hit anything that I liked more for a price I could afford.

So I went into Golfsmith Friday and found a used 9* Stiff TFC shaft at a price I couldn't pass up, $169. I'm not sure why it was $30 cheaper than the rest of the used G15's there except maybe that it was the only 9*, and maybe they don't sell as well? The club is mint, just some light brush scratching on the bottom, face and top are perfect. I hit it in the store to make sure it wasn't bunk or cracked or something, and it felt solid and smooth. I have 10 days to "try it out" and can return it for 90% value in that time, so I took a chance.

I hit a bucket at the range yesterday and this thing is an absolute bomber! I thought the 9* wouldn't be enough loft for me since my old stick is 10* and I hit it on the low side usually. But I was hitting the G15 at about the same trajectory, maybe a little higher, but very piercing and not a hint of balloon. This thing just wants to hit the ball straight and far. Swings I knew were big slices turned out to be baby fades. I had to force myself to put it down and hit some irons. It was too much fun hitting rockets out to the back of the range.

I've had good range sessions before, so I'm not going to kid myself and tell you I'm going to hit every fairway with this thing, but it's definitely impressive.

yea im already kind of bored with my ft-5, lol. I think its mainly because I fell in love with the diablo edge long before I bought the ft-5, just didnt want to shell out 300 for it but I just recently found out dicks sporting goods will take 75 dollars off when you trade in any club towards the purchase of a driver that is atleast 250 bucks. They also give you the amount the trade in is worth so its not a bad deal, I just might get that diablo edge

yea its a pretty good deal. If the driver is over 300 then its 100 off plus the trade in amount but there arent any drivers that are like 310. They are mostly all 299.99 so they fit into the 75 off category.,
